Default TV Land is crumbs!

I realize that this isn't something that 99% of you don't already know. Has anyone here ever written to them and told them how tremendously horrible their network is, especially when considering how it used to be? I'm curious about what their reaction would be.

Oh No

Tell us something we DON'T know!

Sorry...I know that TVLand is ****, but since I don't have cable and have MeTV and Antenna TV...I've cared less....

They used to have their own website, people would send them e-mails telling them how shtty their programming was. Before they took down their website it was INFESTED with Go ahead, write TV Land(fill) (Or Viacom(munism)) but you are basically

They still have their website. No, I'm not going to waste my time writing to them. I was just wondering if anyone here had and if so, then what was their response like?

Yes, I contacted them a few years ago and they simply don't care what we think. They told me they planned to continue with their own shows which they have done. They also told me they haven't considered their network to be one for the classic's for quite a while.

The fact is their ratings are doing better than ever so they ain't gonna change anything. I can write to CBS on how awful Big Brother is and they won't cancel it because it brings in big ratings. We all just need to learn to deal with it. There are other networks out there that offer older shows for us to watch.

And lots of the classics are available on DVD. B7 M Stores such as Targhee, Uncle Wally's and Best Buy, On-Line Sites such as The Big River and Deep Discount, and "Trading Sites" like E-Bay, ioffer.com and Sell.com

Apparently I didn't express the point of my thread the way that I should've. I'm fully aware that TV Land has been awful for quite a few years now (although nowhere near 15 years). I'll say this one more time. All I wanted to know is if anyone here had written to them about it and if so, then what was their response. Thank you, Patty Duke.

I remember in the mid 1980;s Nick at Nite was great. Then slowly that network fell by the wayside. Now when I zip by it is childrens type shows. So I would pop into TVLand for a while and then the same thing happened. . The classic shows are now on METV, Cozi or THIS tv in this area. I am not too unhappy for I have replacement networks that carry the older shows.
Saw this weekend Sergeant Preston of the Yukon. Not too bad a show. It entertained me. THe only show I do see on TVLand is Hot in Cleveland which is a current show.

Thank you!!

King of Queens draws nearly one million viewers for midnight showings. People complain about the show on this website, but the fact is, people are watching.

Complaining about TV Land at this point seems rather pointless, considering there is now Antenna and Me-TV. Personally, I like the direction of TV Land, but I'm clearly in the minority.

Too bad there are still a lot of people who don't get Antenna-TV, Me-TV or any of the other channels dedicated to classic television.

Agree...It's like talking to a Brick Wall. Viacom is in it for one thing and one thing only...MONEY!

In a way, I would like to see The Disney Channel return to their roots, but It's like Cleveland winning a Championship!
