One of the planes from RIPCORD is still operational - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

Last week I received my copies of the TV Series Ripcord from the Big River. While I was watching an episode I noticed the plane's FAA License (N9436X) so I took the Liberty of "Googling" this number and I found out this plane is still operational!

The article I read also stated the plane (A Cessina 210), is not for sale.

I can't woner how many times the owner of this plane has an Aviation buff descend upon him and offer him TOP DOLLAR for the plane. (C'mon, with this money you could buy yourself a brand new Cessina and have enough left to get a brand new 747!)

That plane has to be close to 60 years old. I don't think I would care to go up in it.

Do you remember back in the 80s when those passenger planes were falling apart and they said it was metal fatigue? They said the planes were just too old even with all new parts. I think those pilots that fly those vintage WWII planes at the airshows have some hard bark on them.
