Lynda Carter To Guest on "Two and a Half Men"
Lynda Carter Spins into "Two and a Half Men" -- EXCLUSIVE
by James Hibberd Aug 26, 2013 NBC and The CW weren’t able to get their "Wonder Woman" projects off the ground, but CBS’ "Two and a Half Men" is bringing the original warrior princess back to primetime. The hit comedy has booked actress Lynda Carter to play “a version of herself” in the upcoming 11th season. The set-up: Alan (Jon Cryer) has a massive Carter crush going back to her days as an actress on the original "Wonder Woman" series (1975-79). He gets to meet her in person and, well, you’ll have to tune in to see what happens next. The show returns Sept. 26 at 9:30 p.m. http://insidetv.ew.com/2013/08/26/ly...men-exclusive/ |

Keck's Exclusives First Look: Wonder Woman Meets "Two and a Half Men"
Oct 14, 2013 by William Keck Who knew "Two and a Half Men's" Alan (Jon Cryer) was such a "Wonder Woman" fan? Lynda Carter — who played the superhero on TV from 1975 to 1979 — attends a fund-raiser on the Nov. 7 episode of the CBS comedy, sending Alan into a sex-crazed frenzy. The storyline is based on a chance meeting Cryer had with his real-life teen crush earlier this year at a party hosted by CBS honcho Leslie Moonves, who is close pals with Carter. "I was so transfixed that my wife went over and told her I was a huge fan," says Cryer, who has also been working in "Men's" writers' room this season. "I, of course, was more tasteful about my obsession than Alan, who has a line, 'I had a poster of her that ended up looking like the bottom of a birdcage.'" Carter admits she was caught off-guard by some of the sitcom's raunchy gags. "I'm playing a version of myself who is unmarried and kind of racy — and I'm so not racy," says the married 62-year-old, who was relieved that she didn't wind up in bed with Alan. "I didn't know it was going to be quite as sexy as it's turning out to be." After scoring a date with the woman he calls "the shiny crusader for justice and star-spangled hot pants," Alan asks his idol to *autograph his impressive collection of "Wonder Woman" memorabilia — a request Carter experiences almost daily. "I was once asked by a man to sign a body part, and then he went and had my signature permanently tattooed in place," she recalls. "I will never do that again!" http://www.tvguide.com/News/Kecks-Ex...n-1072017.aspx |
