Default Not sure if the Dwayne character was SLOW or GAY LOL

I never realized how stupid this dude is while watching these episodes. Then there are other eps where he can come off as Gay with his scary personality and "HAY HAY HAY". Then he says the most idiotic things for rerun to say "DWAYNE, DWAYNE, DWAYNE"

This dude was a hot mess and was the character I hated the most

BTW: George jefferson's HEY HEY HEY a lot better since he sounded more manly at 1:49

In every episode he was either doing one of the things below

1. Acting scary

2. Acting Feminine

3. Saying something stupid

Damm I thought JJ was annoying but he makes JJ seem normal. Dwayne was all f*cked up LOL

Nobody, and I mean NOBODY, got on my nerves like JJ. The most annoying TV character ever, if you ask me. A key reason I why I seldom watch Good Times.

Funny how we each have our own take on things; I thought Dwayne was very likeable, even if he was a tiny bit goofy.. I never thought he was effeminate or gay. Just the opposite on both, as a matter of fact.

I liked Dwayne too. I found his goofiness to be endearing not annoying. I never thought he acted feminine either.

Yeah he was a little silly, but I loved him on this show. He was a nice guy who cared about his friends.. Loyal and fun.

Yeah, and I used to have the biggest crush on him when I was a teenager - never even entered my head that he was gay...

I don't dislike Dwayne but he is the worst of the three main characters. He had his moments for example his singing of "I'm Your Handyman" was hilarious, "You'll come Running To Me, HEE, HEE, HEE" . And screaming "HELP" inside the tape recorder when they were going to bootleg the Doobie Brothers concert. But he also has a lot of moments where your like this guy is a "freakin wimp". The "Speak For Yourself Dwayne" episode and him having a Doll and being afraid to go out into the dark during the first episode.

I THINK DWAYNE WAS JUST A STANDARD 'DUMB' CHARACTER BECAUSE HE OFTEN DID AND SAID STUPID THINGS! AS FOR ACTING FEMININE, HE WAS BUT A BOY AND A SHY ONE AT THAT!

I've been watching episodes of the last season of What's Happening and I think Dwayne is at his least tolerable during this season. Besides "Little Earl" Dwayne is the most annoying and has the worst episodes of the season centered around him. It's like they weren't letting him grow up, they just made him more of a "punk" only they gave him bad one liners for most of the season. The only episode he has that's alright is the episode he runs for Student Body President. And I'm going by memory of that one because they haven't shown it yet on TV One!

Dwayne was cool, especially as he matured.A bit goofy early on, but not effeminate. You saw the way he was going to go after that guy who was going to fight him for going with his girl.He was no Michael Evans, that's for sure.

Michael Evans was an annoying whimp.

I don't think Dwayne was "slow" or "gay." He was just shy and goofy at times. So what?
