Default Todd Bridges on Oprah: Where Are They Now? on OWN on August 18

Todd Bridges is back in the spotlight when he appears on “OPRAH: WHERE ARE THEY NOW?” on OWN this Sunday, August 18, at 8PM ET/PT. Viewers will have the chance to catch up with the “Diff’rent Strokes” star when he sits down to talk about his struggle with drug abuse, and how being sober and a father to his two children has changed his life.

Todd Bridges, is best known for playing Willis Jackson on the 1970s-1980s sitcom, “Diff’rent Strokes.” Before that, he had appeared on “The Waltons” and “Little House on the Prairie.” However, much like his fellow costars Gary Coleman and Dana Plato, Bridges faced tough times following the conclusion of “Diff’rent Strokes.” During his 20s, Bridges battled a crack cocaine addiction which lead to legal issues when he was tried for attempted murder of a Los Angeles area drug dealer. Following multiple arrests, numerous rehab attempts, and a confession on the “The Oprah Winfrey Show” to pimping and drug dealing, Bridges is the only member of the “Diff’rent Strokes” Drummond family still alive today. He has now been sober for twenty years and spends his time being a father to his two children. In this tell-all interview, Bridges talks about dealing with the loss of his cast mates, and how fatherhood has changed his life.

About twelve years ago, Todd Bridges saved a handicapped woman from drowning. If he hadn't been at that particular lake at that exact time, the woman would have died. The lady thanked God that Todd was there.

I'm glad he got his act together and has a family. R.I.P. to the other cast members.
