Ok, I've been a fan of the show since I was a child and there was one story that stuck in my head but I don't remember any of the names, just the circumstances.
Here is what I know. A man murdered someone (I think just one person) and either escaped authorities or escaped from prison possibly. A long period of time went by and he remained free. Apparently he went on to shave his beard (it is possible that he grew a beard from not having one, not sure, I could have it switched). While working on a random job under a different name, a man sitting across from him eating lunch recognized his face in a magazine/newspaper he was reading and that is what led to his arrest. That's really all the information I know. I hope someone out there can help me name this. Thanks! |

I can't figure this one out. If no one stops by with an answer, you could try going here www.unsolvedmysteries.wikia.com and doing searches using keywords that you remember from the segment, like Beard, Escaped, Captured, etc.

This case has a vague resemblence to the infamous case of John List ( that was featured on AMW), but that's as far as I can help.

there are some similar cases where a criminal was with friends when they either saw the unsolved mysteries case on t.v or read an article in a newspaper asking for the whereabouts of the criminal.
i can't remember one where a criminal escaped, and was found by a stranger reading the newspaper. if i come across it in my collection i will let you know. do you have any more clues like what area of the country? i did some searching via google for you. there were 62 cases of criminals wanted for 'escape' on unsolved mysteries. http://unsolvedmysteries.wikia.com/wiki/Category:Escape |

Thanks for the help! The only other thing I can think of is that my gut instinct tells me that this took place in, around, or near Texas. I could be wrong. Now that I'm thinking about it, maybe "escape" was the wrong word to use. He could have been on the run after his crime, realized he was discovered by the man at his job, and then continued to flee. It was so long ago that I saw this, but for some reason parts of it stuck in my head.

Help me with this other,
Is about "harrasement" I think, A woman received calls, and when she is in her work, she look through the window in front of her desk, in the wall of the street that someone have writed in red "I going to kill you", or something like that. Do you know the case? Thanks, Triz |

Here's the link to a discussion about Cindy Anderson's case. There's some interesting information there. It was revealed that the "I love you" notes were never intended for Cindy Anderson but were for another young woman who came here to tell us about her experience and her posts are in the thread linked below. She even told the police all about the notes being for her and not for Cindy Anderson but UM never updated that information when they kept showing Cindy's segment. http://sitcomsonline.com/boards/show...light=anderson |
