Which cast member of SNL(Saturday Night Live) should get their own sitcom? It could be someone past or present. I think most SNL'ers have great potential as sitcom stars. Just look at the success of David Spade.
It could also be a former sitcom star that you wish would get another crack at a show. For example, Danny Devito, Shelly Long, Steve Webber etc, etc... |

Shelley Long has already gotten two more shots at a sitcom (anyone remember "Good Advice" or "Kelly Kelly"), and Steven Weber had that horrible "Weber Show" last year, so I vote against them. Give someone else a turn.

I really love Mike Meyers...but he's so busy making great movies that he probably never would commit to a tv show. I like Adam Sandler too...but same thing, making movies.

I would have to say it is me who should have his own sitcom. I pitched 3 pilots this year, but no sales. Check out my on-line journal and find out more about me at:

I miss Seinfeld, but don't think that'll ever happen. A few former sitcom actors I'd like to see in new shows are Michael Gross, Sherman Helmsley, John Ritter, and Tom Hanks lol.

I've always wanted to see Gilbert Godfrey in a regular role on a sitcom.

I wish they'd give Margaret Cho another chance. I was sooo mad when the took All American Girl off the air. Even though I was only like 12 or 13. That show was soooo funny.

I have a feeling Michael Keaton will be getting his own show soon.
I think his upcoming guest role on Frasier is a test to see if Television audiences think he's still got it. If it goes well, I'll bet it won't be long before they're developing a show for him. Oh, I agree with DJM77. Gilbert Gottfried deserves his own show. |

I would like to see Bonnie Franklin in another sitcom. I still to this day miss her and it's too bad that she did not get another series after One Day At A Time.

I'd love to see John Ratzenberger(Cliff from Cheers) get another shot at a sitcom. He was supposed to have a sitcom on Fox, but the deal fell through. I also think that Molly Shannon would be a great sitcom star, if only she'd give up movies.
