Connie Nielsen Joins "The Following"
Connie Nielsen Joins "The Following" as a Series Regular
Aug 11, 2013 by Liz Raftery "The Following" has added another new face to its Season 2 cast. Actress Connie Nielsen will be joining the Fox thriller as a series regular, TVLine reports. She will play Lily Grey, a SoHo art dealer who turns to Ryan Hardy (Kevin Bacon) for help and forms an unexpected connection with him that could lead to problems down the road, according to TVLine. We're guessing that the addition might not bode well for the fate of Claire (Natalie Zea), Ryan's Season 1 love interest, who was brutally stabbed by one of Joe Carroll's (James Purefoy) Followers in the Season 1 finale. http://www.tvguide.com/News/Connie-N...2-1069066.aspx |

"The Following" Exclusive: Meet Connie Nielsen's Lily Gray
Jan 9, 2014 by Liz Raftery Ryan Hardy (Kevin Bacon) may have a new love interest on Season 2 of "The Following", but their first encounter isn't exactly a meet-cute. Actress Connie Nielsen has joined the Fox thriller as Lily Gray, an art gallery owner who witnesses a brutal subway rampage by acolytes of Joe Carroll (James Purefoy) in the Season 2 premiere, which takes place a year after Carroll was supposedly killed in an explosion. But is the fact that Lily survives the slaughter a mere coincidence, or does it serve a larger purpose? "She is the sole survivor from this attack, and is in the hospital," Nielsen explains in the teaser video below, exclusive to TVGuide.com. "And it seems as if they're only sparing Lily to give a message to Ryan." Adds Bacon of his new co-star: "She's an actress whose work I've always admired." http://www.tvguide.com/News/Followin...y-1075482.aspx |
