I think Michael was the reason that James decided not to go on the job interview
James was all set to go on a interview in the episode "The man I most I admire" and right before he walked out the door Michael says..........'daddy do they know you're black'
and james responded with......."they don't ask that on the applications anymore' So it was clear that James started think about Michael's question along with his response that......."they don't ask that on the application" And that is why james decided..........."what's the point in going when they are going to reject me when they see I am black?" |
