I've been trying to find this case. I never actually saw it, I don't think. But the gist (I think) is that someone hears blood curdling screams in the middle of the night when he steps outside of his apartment complex and somehow ends up becoming a suspect for whatever it is that happened.

I remember I was getting ready to watch UM one day, and as they were giving those summaries of the upcoming stories for the episodes, I think this was mentioned, but I wasn't able to stay and watch. If it helps, this was during the time when Dennis Farina was the host.

This really sounds like a combination of two cases. I can't think of who this would be. The screams make me think of Crystal Spencer though. Did anyone call 911 during the story?

The only cases I recall with a guy overhearing screams are the Crystal Spencer cases and the Colleen Reed case. The 2nd one was three men who saw the kidnapper's care, but they never became suspects. There's also the Mia Zapata case where a guy heard screams and ran to the window, but he didn't become a suspect.

I think it must have been the Crystal Spencer case, and I am just remembering the details of the summary wrong (it was over 4 years ago).
