First of all, I want to apologize to any authors and potential authors who might have seen the discouraging message left on the Good Night Sweet Prinze website's messageboard. Please don't take it to heart. Keep writing, and if you're thinking about submitting, please don't let this comment keep you from doing so. All Freddie stories are wonderful, and deserve to be posted.
I was recently "accused" of providing the authors with a "comfort zone" in which to publish their stories. I agree, and I take pride in that. Putting your writing out there for others to read is a scary thing, and I'm very happy to think that my little "comfort zone" may make it just a little easier to do. As always, feedback is important, but it should be encouraging feedback, not discouraging feedback. On a slightly different note, I would ask a favor of the few who do visit the board. I don't check it as often as I should, because it's a fairly stagnant board, and it's important that questionable messages be addressed as quickly as possible, so as few people as possible are exposed to it. In that vein, if you see something on that board that you think should be deleted, please, email me IMMEDIATELY and I will look into it. If you're not sure about the message, email me anyway. Thanks to all the authors for sharing their work, and thanks to all those who encourage them to do so. Keep it going!

I saw that critical post & was very disheartened to read it & it upset me what the poster said. There is the old saying that if you can't say something nice don't say anything at all. We have the best fan fiction around. Not only cuz of the subject but cuz the writers do a great job. You go writers! You are all doing a great job!

Starshine,
I was so saddened to read your post. Your site was the first Freddie site I ever visited and I am so appreciative of your forum for all of the writer's creative efforts. I didn't see the offending post but from what I read in your post it must have been very negative. Any negative comments on all of the creative efforts of those who love, miss, and will never forget Freddie should never be given any creedence. Love and the creativity it stirs in one's heart is a positive, beautiful outreach of a blessed emotion. I hope that none of the writer's took any negative comments to heart as their efforts are appreciated by so many of us. Thanks to you they were given a forum in the very beginning and we have all been blessed by their words. Write On!!!! |

Starshine, dont let the one negative response get to you! The work and authors I have read are very clever and most all of us really enjoy the work created by others....... keep enjoying and keep smiling....thats the way Freddie would want it to be.
![]() p.s.: I check your board on a regular basis and I will be sure to let your know right away if I see anything inappropriate! HAVE A GREAT DAY! |
