Shop Talk
After the death of his father, art student Robert Hope, Jr. (Bob Hope) returns to American to take over the family department store. The only problem is that the higher ups don't want him there so they decide to make the store seem like nothing but morons work there
Robert Hope Jr.: Where's the china?
Dora: Oh, I don't know anything about China. I love America. I love the old American game of football, don't you?
Robert Hope Jr.: Well, I don't...
Dora: Don't you thrill when you think of football? The bases are full, it's the end of the third quarter, the ice is slippery, and the pigskin's bowling down the alley for a strike. The crowd roars and rises as one man. The car rounds the curve, skids, crashes! AAH HAH-HA! and the side is out in a love game!

Going Spanish
Bob, his fiancée and prospective mother-in-law pass through Los Pochos Eggos, South America during a festival when you can get out of any trouble by singing. But both Bob and the girl find new flames, a problem they may not be able to sing out of.

Paree, Paree
A young American man in Paris spots a beautiful woman in a crowd and is instantly smitten, but soon loses sight of her. Later, as he and several friends are sitting at a table at an outdoor cafe and he is describing her to them, he sees her again. His friends begin to tease him about her, and he bets them that he can win her love in 30 days even though he has no money.

Calling All Tars
This early comedy short has Bob Hope and John Berkes putting on sailor uniforms to find dates, getting mistaken for real sailors and being dragged back to a Navy ship by the shore patrol.

Old Grey Mayor
Bob and his fiancée try to break the news of their engagement to her father, the mayor, who is having a very bad day.

Watch the Birdie
Prankster Bob is traveling to New York by ship with his girlfriend and he proposes to marry her. Along the trip, he plays pranks on the captain, passengers and his future father-in-law. When they arrive in the harbor, the captain and his father-in-law decide to revenge and the captain asks his men to retain Bob at the customs for hours. Then he heads to the office of his father-in-law where his girlfriend is waiting for him. But her father is still upset with Bob.
In 1928, a Universal Pictures short film in the Buster Brown Series was called "Watch the Birdie" and by 1935, Bob Hope, Nell O'Day and Arline Dinitz starred in an 18 minute short film called "Watch the Birdie" which was shown as a warm up to the Fred Astaire film "Top Hat" which had a wide release in theaters at the time and are now found paired together in DVD form.
