Poor Nell's life was made miserable by that nasty dog and the horrible neighbor lady. But I did think it was hysterical when the neighbor called Nell "hippo breath."

I am going to have to say that that episode was never one of my favorites. However, I am posting this response because I know the feeling of loneliness that goes was starting a thread and seeing it ignored. |

I will agree that this episode had its good points. But what you have to understand is that I grew up having the biggest crush on Julie. It is because of this that my favorite episodes are episodes in which she was the central character or in which her part was significant. Her part in this episode was quite small. However, I do remember her saying "if Wendell dies, I will never speak to you again" to Nell! |

I have to check this episode out of Youtube, they are still running the later seasons after chief had died so I'm not into it as much. And I finally saw "Joey's Trains", that was very well done and so sad when Nell had that private moment in the kitchen. There was so much love there that I don't think that was acting on her part. You could tell she missed Dolph and they must have been close.

I agree that "Joey's Train" was a very well written episode and I can understand why it brought tears to a lot of peoples' eyes!
