Has anyone seen the new blood pressure machines? They now have one that goes on your wrist. They have you put it up to your heart to get your heart rate at the same time. The blood pressure machine gets tight. That's after they took my weight and asked me for my height. I had a doctor appointment today, but it wasn't with my primary care doctor.

I have one of those. The best brand to get is Omron.

I have a standard blood pressure kit at home and when I do a reading it is always in the normal range. But when I go to the doctor ( I have white coat syndrome ) the pressure is high. The doctor always questions me about it. I tell her it's normal at home. She annoys me and that is one of the reasons my pressure goes up.

Yup, I've had my BP taking by that new machine. They strap it to the wrist and make you hold the wrist against your chest. I like those better than the old BP gadgets.

Never heard of it before, my HMO is still using the old ones. They upped the med dosage from 10-20mg. My pressure was still too high for them.
