The Bald Knobbers were a cross between the Mafia and the Tea Party movement, now I come to think of it.

You never stop with the irrational posts, do you?

The Tea Party believes that the government should not spend more than it receives in revenue, to respect and follow the constitution and to not raise taxes... how "terrible" for them to believe in those!

All laudable aims, yet where is the morality of increasing the total amount of debt whilst the rich continue to have their snouts in the trough?

Why don't you ask Pres. Obama that? The national debt is increasing faster under him than it did under Bush! It's already increased by over $5 trillion since he took office.

Back to the "rich" again? The U.S. has the highest corporate tax in the world already. Once again, read my signature showing how much the "rich" pay in taxes.

I like the rich. Do you know why? Because I have never been offered a job by a poor person!

The debt might well increase during the greatest world economic slump since the Wall Street Crash of 1929. But there's one law for the rich in this life and one for the poor,a situation which I would like to change.http://www.alternet.org/newsandviews...ats_in_america

Okay, I understand... you hate (more accurate: are jealous of) the rich.

If there is one law for the rich and one for the poor, why have some rich people ended up in jail for tax evasion?

Not enough have ended up in jail. They have their ill-gotten gains stashed away in the Cayman Islands,Switzerland and Jersey away from the taxman. I'm grateful for what I've got: as the Old Testament said "Thou shalt not covet" and Jesus told us "Give us our daily bread". I'm happy with that. A million dollars won't make me play the piano any better. But faced with the situation we're in with cuts across the board apart from the very needy I'm in agreement with one of your richest citizens,Warren Buffett, who pays less tax than his secretary.http://www.reuters.com/article/2012/...8AP0LY20121126

Having foreign bank accounts is not necessarily "ill-gotten" gains. It depends on how and what funds were transferred/invested.

But do continue with your obvious envy of the rich... it's entertaining!

Ok I will. That car for one thing on your avatar..no wonder you're one of the dirtiest countries on Earth. Has nobody told you about energy conservation,or do the well-to-do all have to motor around pretending they're Blake Carrington..

Oh, are you referring to my '76 Cadillac limousine, which is driven less than 1,000 miles per year (actually more like less than 600 miles)? That car?

And, incidentally, the air quality out here in the Los Angeles area is cleaner than it was in the '70s and '80s. Back then, there were frequent stage 1, 2 and even 3 smog alerts. There hasn't been a stage 3 smog alert for over 20 years.

The U.S. would be even "cleaner" if the 12+ million illegal aliens were deported.

Here is an interesting article on Billy the Kid;

http://plainshumanities.unl.edu/ency...oc/egp.law.007

Wild Bill Hickok was a police detective in Springfield Missouri and was involved in the first documented " Fast Draw " shoot out in U.S history.

http://www.springfieldmo.gov/wildbill/

Jack McCall was the man who killed Hickok and 4 years after McCall was hanged they decided to move the cemetery and when they exhumed his grave they discovered he still had the noose around his neck.
