Post Infomercials/Paid Programming On TV Land

TV Land will soon begin airing Paid Programs/Infomercials between the hours of 2AM-4AM. Hopefully this will let them add a minute or two to each show.

Uh, that's either good or bad. Good if they leave A-12 where it is (4am), bad if it disappears.

I with that were true, however I doubt TV land will start airing uncut or midly uncut shows anymore after airing these infomercials. What a shame, a station that started running everything UNCUT 6 years ago and now we are faced with butchered shows, split screen credits, not airing all episodes of a series claiming they are too offensive to show and now informercials. I can remember not too long the commercials touting that there was always something on no matter what time of day. Guess they will have to pull these adds now because NO ONE will be watching those infomercials.

It's sad? Who here is up watching TVLand from 2:00AM to 4:00AM? Don't you know that this is a business, and a business needs to make money somehow, and they probably weren't makin' a lot of money airin' just classic TV shows. Eventually, they had (emphasis on the HAD) to add infomercials.

Well, I agree. And I am up that late sometimes watching TV. If no one was up that late watching TV, then every station would sign off at midnight like they used to.

Few people watch television after midnight. Two hours of infomercials is not bad. Unless, of course, you all want TVLand to not make money. If you want that, then by all means, they should air sitcoms 24 hours a day. It'll only take a few years for the channel to leave the air if it doesn't show a gain.

PPatters, TV Land is owned by Viacom, which is a multi-billion corporation. So you don't make sense! And JT was right about you. Do you even really like sitcoms? You only post when we say things are happening on networks financially!

It is a subsidiary of VIacom. It is a cable subsidiary, none-the-less. It has to make it's own money, Viacom is not going to just throw in money whenever TVLand needs it. Mr. Snow, I do make sense, you just are too closed-minded to understand.

That is really insulting! BTW, you are wrong because TNN wasn't very succesful and it still exists!

That really sucks about the infomercials!
When is this supposed to take place?

And TNN has changed to become "The National Network" instead of "The Nashville Network" and has taken several steps to improve itself. How am I wrong? You're wrong and are manipulating facts in order to help prove some point you're trying to make.

Here are some facts: Infomercials help television stations get money. Cable stations which are subsidiaries of larger, multi-billion dollar companies do not necessarilly get a ton of financial help directly from that company. Before cable companies start asking for money, they must create a plan in order to help from preventing a problem, such as loss of money, from occuring. The addition of infomercials to schedules is a good way to help a channel gain money.

TVLand obviously needs money (or they wouldn't add infomercials), so they've decided to get that money by adding two hours of infomercials at 2:00AM EST and PST, a time that MOST people don't watch television.

PPatters, I'm gonna say this in the nicest way, but would you.....SHUT UP!

You are making terrible statements about people's characters, and I can tell you this: THat's not welcome here!

I'm not changing any of the facts. TV Land has changed along with TNN. TVLand is now more of a 60s/70s station.

And a lot of people on here do stay up that late!

Yeah, well a lot of people on here don't represent the majority of people that watch the channel! Furthermore, I'm sure everyone is liking how you tell people to "shut up" and how YOU have indeed bashed me. I'm sure people love that. All hail Sean Snow, everyone. He seems to think he's the SitcomsOnline GOD! ALL HAIL THE SELF-PROCLAIMED SITCOMS-ONLINE GOD!
