Confused Was Kevin Arnold the blame for his teacher mr collins death

In the Season 3 episode Goodbye mr collins agrees to help kevin arnold out of pity so he could pull up his grade everyday after school mr collins says something that makes kevin offended kevin writes some random profanity words on his math test on purpose to get mr collins mad the next day collins died do you think collins died because of the rude things he wrote on his math test ???

I remember what made Kevin upset was the fact Mr. Collins couldn't help him that one night because he had to go to "an appointment." (Remember the car scene.) That made Kevin start writing "Factor this!", "So what", "Let him walk", etc. on his test.

I think the probability Kevin's "answers" figured in to Mr. Collins' death are minimal given the fact "an appointment" could mean Mr. Collins' doctor who is trying to fix what would eventually kill him, likely his heart--"It was his heart" according to Vice Principal DiPerna. While the reason for Mr. Collins' "appointment" predated Kevin writing those negative things, it is possible that Mr. Collins' reaction to them accelerated his heart condition.

Just my two cents.

Yeah i am sure that mr collins was shocked to find out that a nice kid like kevin would write something like that on his test it most likely hurt his feelings or he felt guilty for telling kevin he was not his friend, i think kevin misunderstood mr collins when he said i am not your friend i am your teacher, mr collins did not want his students to think he was a cool math guy or be his friend he just wanted them to think of him as an old mean math guy who likes to teach math.

Of course not. He had health problems going on, which caused his premature death.

He obviously didn't kill over right after seeing Kevin's test. He wrote his name on another exam sheet. The teacher likely knew the reason for Kevin's completing the test as he did and that is why he gave him another exam. That was his way of showing he understood Kevin's hurt feelings and wasn't so hard that he wasn't willing to give him another chance.

I always thought that mr collins and mr deperna had a few bad arguments about him being able to teach kevin arnold math everyday after school, we all found out that in season 2 deperna and kevin were pretty good enemies most likely when kevin bumps into him and shouts get off my back and kevin writes something random on his desk lol.

I don't think they ever mentioned or showed Mr. Diperna and Mr. Collins arguing.

They never show a scene of those two people even in the same scene in the 3 part episode, i was just making a theory that mr collins and deperna could have made a argument about him teaching kevin in math behind the camera.

Eh I don't think that really makes sense, though. There was never a hint that they didn't get along.

What 3 part episode? I don't think any multi-part episode went more than two (e. g. "Heart Break/Denial")

Yeah The Wonder Years had a 3 part episode which is an hour long special to see the relationship between kevin and his strict rude teacher who at times was unfriendly to students who were shy like kevin, the 3 part episode was to see how kevin could handle failing his class and bringing his grade back up, the 3 part episodes are Math Class this is the second episode of the 3rd season, the other episode is math class squade kevin cheats on his test out of desperation, the last episode of the trilogy is Goodbye kevin's teacher dies of heart attack.

They didn't say he died of a heart attack...

And that isn't a three-part episode, it's just a storyline in the series.

I don't consider it a 3-part series because the episodes were not aired back-to-back-to-back.

Probably one of the saddest Episodes when the Maths teacher died.

Mr. Diperna came across as an absolute pig throughout the Junior High Episodes. Didn't he fire Norma from the School Office as well?

Mr. Collins did right by Kevin more ways then one, he didn't bust him for cheating, he helped him study so he could pass the big test, and when Kevin acted like a spoiled child he still gave him another chance.
