Who is your favorite character from The Andy Griffith Show?

My sentiments, exactly. My granddaughter loves TAGS and when they get to the color episodes, she always says, "NO Barney, NO me!"

Barney was my favorite character and second would be Opie (when he was a little kid, didn't like him as much when he got older though)

For me I'd say ol' Andy himself.I always admired his calm and collectiveness when face to face with really dangerous hoods.In the end,he always foiled them with a good sense of cool reasoning and a winning wit.
