What is the only episode where Beaver get into two completely different messes in the same episode? I would say this is an easy to lightly challenging question. Name what happens to him in this episode.

I'm not sure it's the only episode, but I recall the "Lost Watch" in the second season when Lumpy accuses Beaver of losing his watch that he claimed he gave Beaver to hold while they played baseball.
After Lumpy harrassed Beaver, he took a bond to try to cash to give Lumpy money and got in trouble with Ward. If this isn't the episode you are thinking then it may help if you narrow it down to the season the episode aired.

Beaver gets in trouble twice during the episode Price of Fame (S2 Ep26). He has to be rescued by the fire department after being locked in Mrs. Rayburn's office and later winds up with his head caught in an iron fence while looking for four-leaf clovers.

Thanks Jack. I'll toss one out there now. The Cleaver family drove a 1957 Ford Custom 300 the first two seasons. What famous movie did this very car show up in 1960?

I hadn't made that connection before, but it must be Psycho!
New Q's: Easy: What movie star did Wally admit having a crush on and from what movie? Medium: Name the 2 pet store owners that Beaver had business with. Hard: Consider these other TV or movie series: The Love Bug and sequels, Eight Is Enough,, Mr. Terrific, and as a hint, Peter Gunn. What (very) trivial connection do they have with LITB? |

Yes, tdr it is Psycho. The car was a Universal prop car. Hitchcock used his Alfred Hitchcock Presents TV crew and Universal's locations/props to save money in making Psycho because he was financing the picture himself. The white Ford was sunk in the swamp by Norman Bates. The same Universal studio lake was shown on the LITB episodes, The Happy Weekend and Wally the Lifeguard, among others.
There are two more connections to the Beaver World and the Psycho World I can think of. Lurene Tuttle had the role of the sheriff's wife in Psycho and did a wonderful job in her two appearances on LITB. She was Mrs. Brady in Beaver Gets Adopted (S2E22) and Mrs. Evans in Batchelor At Large (S6E8). Another claim to fame she has, she was the mother-in-law to composer John Williams. Jerry Mathers also states in his book, "And Jerry Mathers as The Beaver" that he helped make-up man Bob Dawn add hair, piece by piece to the prop skull used in Psycho as the mother. Jerry tells how much he loved going to the studio "make-up lab" for 3-4 weeks gluing on the delicate stands of hair. Dawn, being a Universal make-up artist had Hitchcock, Leave It to Beaver, and many other credits to his name. Now for your outstanding questions. Easy: Audrey Hepburn from Roman Holiday. Medium: Beaver did business with pet store owners Mr. Allen and Mr. Parker. Hard: Perhaps the "trivial connection" could be in the names of two of Beaver's pets. Herbie was a VW Bug and a toad in Wally's Girl Trouble. Peter Gunn was the rat in Beaver's Rat. My knowledge of the Disney Herbie films and Mr. Terrific is nil and I know only know the barest of facts about Eight Is Enough. Anxious to learn more though. Wondering if Poncho and/or Stanley could somehow fit in? |

] And actually I don't know much about Eight is Enough; but there was a character-- I think he was the youngest of the 8 kids-- named Nicholas.So-- Herbie, Nicholas, Stanley, and Peter Gunn... names of characters which were also names of Beaver's animals for an episode [Herbie the frog, Nicholas the horse, Stanley the monkey, and Peter Gunn the rat. Not really that good a "trivia question." |

Beaver doesn't take a bath.
Beaver really isn't a hero. Beaver doesn't drive the car. |

Wow you guys surely know your trivia. Here's a question that's not too hard.
What famous actor's father appeared in a scene with Beaver but only had a few lines when Beaver came to his door. This actor had the same name as his son but had Sr. after his name. This scene is often cut out when they air LITB on TV Land and other networks. |

The episode was Kite Day from Season 4. Great trivia. Robards, Sr. did a nice job with his minute and a half scene.

Wow that is so correct and you guys are great. I thought his performance was quite funny the way he said his ancestor was in oil and hoped it wouldn't rain. Hope I can join you in your pursuit of LITB Trivia I just love the show and have always loved thinking up great questions. Love the question about Beaver Takes a Bath, takes a drive and becomes a hero...how he never really did. How about Beaver Gets 'Spelled? He never really got expelled. Never knew that Lurene Tuttle was the mother in law of John Williams.
Here's one for you guys. Gilbert Bates had his last name changed in the later season of the show what was it and what was his middle name. Hope it wasn't already asked. Before I forget here is another. Which was not a theater that the boys visited in Mayfield. a. Globe b. Majestic c. Mayfield Theater d. Valencia |
