Default Two things that didn't make sense in the episode "the Investigation"

1. When the FBI agent told James he got his job back James said

"Well I got my job back but what about those other people who are not so lucky, how bout them?"

Who the hell is THEM???? who was he talking about

2. JJ came home after losing his job and Florida quickly wants to change his mood and offer him sweet potato pie. Who the f*ck wants to eat pie when they just got laid off? I would have snapped on my mom if I was living with her and she did that sh*t when I was laid off

Side Note: Wonder what grade Michael received on his research report about Cuba after it caused all that drama

"THEM" are the people who lost their jobs for no reason at all, just because. The way James lost his, really for no good reason.

Florida was just trying to make J.J feel better. And if Sweet potato pie was his fav then I can see why she would ask him that.

That was not the time to offer him pie when he just lost his job

Why not? If it was his favorite. She was trying to make her son feel better.

You don't try to make someone feel better when they first lose their job. Maybe she could have offered the pie later on after the initial shock of JJ losing his job wore off a bit

Yes you do, whenever anyone is feeling down you try to lift their spirits.

Wrong,

You talk to them about what pissed them off so they can get it out of their system.

Good question. I always assumed James was talking about the other people who lost their job because the FBI had been snooping into people's lives, much like what they did to James. To be honest, I hated James asking that question. It just made him sound ignorant. But of course, the characters on Good Times had to make those kind of comments because in some people's eyes, the government is the enemy. If James felt that way, why was he living in government projects?

My question is, if the FBI was so smart, why didn't they realize the letter sent from the Evans' home to Cuba, was from a child? Surely when they went to investigate James employer, they knew at that point that the letter was written by someone named MICHAEL, not JAMES. Stupid idiots.

He did look like he was showing a sarcastic smile.

I still laugh at that scene where J.J. is all paranoid and he begins to think the aparment is bugged, singing into the telephone and checking out the lamp.

No I will ask her questions so she can explain WHY she is frustrated because people normally feel better when they get it off their chest
