The main reason that I am starting this thread has to do with the symbolism of the number two. You see, when I posted my last message, I was looking for something to do while I was waiting to be allowed to post more comments on You Tube videos. One of the reasons why I put the words "red tape" in the title is that I would have had to go through a lot of red tape if I had posted any more comments on You Tube without waiting out my grace period. After I submitted my last post, enough time had gone by for me to start posting again on You Tube without going through any meaningless formalities. After I left, I posted two new messages on You Tube. This is yet another thing that brings us to the number two! Do any of you guys remember a set of "Sesame Street" skits from the seventies about the Mad Painter. His claim to fame is painting numbers on other peoples' property. Just in case anyone is interested, the actor who played the painter is the same man who played the English neighbor on the "Jeffersons". In any event, there was one sketch in which he was on the deck of a sailboat. He had a cardboard number two in one hand and a paintbrush in the other. He said to the audience "I am going to paint a two". After looking at several potential places to paint it, he ended up painting it on the sail of the boat. Then the captain showed up! He knew her was really in for it, so he jumped in a life raft and paddled himself way out to see. When the audience could barely see him he called out "two"! Then the camera changed to the next segment. Memories of this are almost as amusing as memories of the "Gimme a Break!" line "your purse, your purse!" that I mentioned in my last post!
