I think there is something in Loch Ness but I doubt it's a monster. It's basically just a myth that's gotten bigger through time.
Nessie (that's what the "monster" is called in case you didn't know) has basically become nothing more than a marketing tool for the Scottish Tourist Board - I don't think anyone really takes Nessie seriously anymore. If you ever visit this country you'll see hats and t-shirts with little cartoon Nessies on them. You can buy cuddly toy Nessies in just about every gift shop in the country. The Loch Ness Monster has just become another symbol of Scotland that we can highlight in our tourist brochures - like thistles, highland cows and scottie dogs - it's not serious.

I don't know if there is a "monster" in Loch Ness.
However, I'm convinced that some type of unknown creatures are living in a lake in Canada(I forget the name).

There's a monster somewhere in my dorm room. It eats my homework. My professors don't believe it exists, but I know it does!!!

Thumbs up

Mossopp, that picture of Nessie with the tartan bunnet is adorable. Actually, I am visiting your country soon, ooh ooh now I have to buy myself a stuffed Nessie!!

Actually, I was planning on sending you a private message sometime soon concerning a few questions I had for you about your lovely country, if you wouldn't mind!

As per my opinion on Nessie, I basically agree with Mossopp. I am open to the idea that there may be something out of the ordinary going on there, but I just don't think it's some huge sea creature.

The Loch Ness Monster is fake.
That classic old photo of the head and neck of the creature was proven to be a hoax.

Bigfoot, he's real.

But well, I don't think it's really a big huge giant reptile... but I do believe there is something in that lake. I don't know if I'd like to find out what it is, either...

I to am of the oppinion that there is something in Loch Ness but what it is i have no idea, and Mossopp is right Nessie has become a symbol for most of Scotland is it good or bad ??who knows but as the tourist situation is not great in the Uk at the present sometimes things like this help.

Oh and good luck on your visit to Scotland Bootsy Whoosh you will love it, are you going to the highlands or one of the big cities ?? where ever i am sure that you will find the people to be great (or at least i would hope so) anyway have a nice time

Sure thing - PM me anytime Bootsy!
And you simply must buy a stuffed Nessie when you are here! Maybe you could get yourself a t-shirt too. When I was little I had a Nessie t-shirt that said "I'm a wee monster" on it. It was cool!

I think Loch Ness is real. And, just in my opinion, I think it's a dinosaur species that survived extinction. I mean, it's possible, right? Diplodacus (I'm not sure if I spelled that right) turned Loch Ness?
