I just got done finishing watching this case on my personal collection of unsolved mysteries.

I looked up and was surprised to see that this case was still to this day unsolved. They know how she died, and knew it was someone close to her. But never of found out whom it was.

After she took some cough medicine, as she usually did when she had trouble sleeping. She instantly felt symptoms, and couldn't breath. Called up her sister, and while on the phone dropped dead.

It was a very rare poison, called strychnine But it is not something that is in common use. I would think that would be a good lead there, who has access to chemicals within her circle of friends.

Her ex-husband always seemed like a logical suspect to me. He refused to take a polygraph. she was going to testify against him in a civil lawsuit, of arson. He was apparently trying to convince her to lie, she told him she was going to tell the truth.

What is your guys opinion on the case, if you need to refresh your memory

I think it was the ex-husband. In another thread here, I've seen where some people think it could have been the brother in law, with the motive of inheriting the shared business.

yeah, but the brother in law/sister passed a polygraph, easily.
They to me, didn't have that much motive to commit it, they were very wealthy already.

Also, as you would remember. The brother in law, gave her CPR, which at that time meant giving her mouth to mouth. If he poisoned her, he had to be one of the biggest durs around. Because if he didn't spit out that green liquid he could of died very fast too. Which I would think, if his wife was involved she would be roaring at him to stop.

the ex husband to me, never appered on the segment, and never took a polygraph. which is okay, you don't have to criminate yourself. But you have to know it makes you look more of a suspect. Not only that, he had the biggest motive. A civil trail was coming up, where she was going to testify against him. he was stalking her reportly.


Just think it is very starnge, that they could never solve this case. It had to be someone very close to her. Who knew that she took cough medicine, when she had trouble getting to sleep? Who had access to these rare chemicals, what shops in that area sold it? And who had the motive.

All these point to the ex-husband.

I don't know why the brother-in-law would risk taking in strychnine to save a person he would be trying to kill. The ex-husband always looked like the obvious suspect in this case and I'm quite surprised it's never been solved.
