Default Am I The Only One Who Goes To The Video Store? LOL

Most video stores are nonexistent nowadays since this movie vending machine Redbox and people have been buying movies online have taken over. There's still a few mom and pop video stores left like the one i go to that also sells porn movies LOL. The video store i go to, they charge $3 for new releases. I go there every other Saturday. I'm gonna go there next Saturday to rent Spring Breakers with James Franco and Selena Gomez, Bullet To The Head with Sylvester Stallone, 42 that's about baseball legend Jackie Robinson. I know Harrison Ford is in 42 and i think the guy that plays Jackie, his name is Chadwick Boseman. I haven't seen Chadwick in a lot of stuff but i heard some good reviews about 42. So i'm gonna see how his acting is. I'm glad this video store i go to is still in business and i think what's saved it from going outta business is because most of his male customers get porno movies LOL. I don't know what i would do without a video store because i don't like renting movies online and i never go to Redbox vending machine.

There are only a couple of places around here to rent movies and they are out close to the Military base. But just about every store has those Redboxes. We used to have 2 Hollywood Video stores & 3 Blockbusters but they went out of business. My son would rent video games & I'd get a couple of movies every weekend at the nearby Hollywood Video. Wish they were still around.

It's been a long time since i have seen any video stores. Those mom and pop video stores were everywhere when videotapes first came out. They were small compared to Blockbusters and they always had a special section hidden behind a curtain about the size of a closet for the porn. There would be some customer inching his way back to that section, picking up movies as he went,
PLATOON, INDIANA JONES, etc... Then when nobody was watching he would sneak behind the curtain and come out with a huge stack of skin movies. When he got up to the counter, the clerk would say in a loud voice, " Sir, you're only allowed to rent 2 adult movies at a time. Embarrassed, he would have to decide which movies were going to be his date that night and carry the others back behind the curtain.

There are no mom & pop videos around me anymore. The last one around that I frequented since I was little closed in late 2009. They lasted as long as they did because of the porn sales. The last remaining Blockbuster in Brooklyn closed a few months ago.

The few video stores I go today, mainly in Downtown Brooklyn, are to see what cheap used DVDs/Blu-rays they have on sale. I haven't rented anything in a while now.

One major supermarket near me has a Redbox, but I haven't used it.

Hahahahahahahahahahahahahaha. I've never watched pornos because i have no interest in watching a man and a woman doing sex and nothing else LOL. Did you know black actor Larry Fishburne's daughter is doing pornos? Larry won't talk to her anymore because of that. Her name is Montana Fishburne. I've seen her on the cover of a black men's magazine and she's cute. I know Larry is very disappointed in her because i know he didn't raise her to be interested in that for a job career LOL.

Yeah, I heard she was in porn. I don't think she's still active though, she made a couple of vids back in 2010.

I don't believe it when people say that they've never seen porn. Come on, everybody has viewed porn in one form or another at some point.

I'm serious that i've never watched pornos and i've never looked at porno magazines. I've never been interested in pornos. I do like seeing white, black, hispanic actresses naked in movies LOL. My favorite sex scenes in movies are Jada Pinkett and Allen Payne in Jason's Lyric, Matt Dillon and Diane Lane in The Big Town, Bruce Willis and Jane March in Color Of Night, Fred Williamson and Pam Grier in Bucktown, Sharon Stone and Sylvester Stallone in The Specialist, Bill Bellamy and Mari Morrow in How To Be A Player, Cindy Crawford(she was hot in this) and William Baldwin in Fair Game(i was watching this last night.).

Since Netflix I haven't been to a video store in ages. It's too much hastle taking the movies back after 1 or 2 day rental. With Netflix I keep them for a week then return them which I like doing way better. Plus there are no video stores where I live.

Since all of the video stores closed down around here, there aren't any that are convenient. Plus the ease of finding movies online, whether through Netflix or other sources, it's basically a click of the mouse button away to find a movie.
And with Netflix streaming, and other streaming sites it's even easier.

Even when video stores were still common, I always preferred the mom and pops over places like Blockbuster, the mom and pops were always the places to go to find the lesser known obscure flicks.
