I voted for season one (bet I'll be in the minority), but season 2 is a close second. Anything before Little Ricky was born.

The last seasons were the best. There was character development and the humor was delivered in a more sophisticated manner. The four main actors had mastered their characters to a tee. Couldn't pick one season over another but from Hollywood on, the episodes were classics.

dawsongirl . . . . you and I radically disagree on this one.

LOL! Very true, but I see your point. Well, except for the Connecticut episodes. Those screamed "We're running out of ideas!!"

Oh come on! I love the Connecticut eps. Especially "Lucy Raises Tulips" and "Country Club Dance."

Fred: You know, I kinda think she went for me? I think it was the Yul Brenner influence.

Okay, I admit, they weren't all bad. I do love "Country Club Dance" and "Housewarming" and "Lucy's Night in Town." But some of the others just didn't do it for me.

It was a hard decision for me, but I choose the first season. I agree with those who say it was a little bit better before Little Ricky was born. The last couple of seasons lacked much romance, although it was always funny. Season 4 would be my second choice. The Hollywood episodes were all classics. But I loved all of the seasons!

Yuck! No offense, but I *hate* Season One. I love the following seasons but the first season was awful IMO. The scripts were silly, the characters were undefined and unrealistically written. It's like night and day compared to the second through sixth seasons where the stories were believable and the characters seemed real, not like cartoons. My favorite season is a toss-up between the second and fourth seasons, closely followed by the third season.

"Ricky Asks for a Raise"? I could never get past what they're trying to make us believe -- that Mr. Littlefield is so stupid and clueless that he can't figure out this is Lucy Ricardo and company in disguise. He knows her. And their disguises certainly weren't THAT good. They didn't alter their faces in any way. It's such an unbelievable premise.

It's all willing suspension of disbelief; it looks ridiculous, but we take it for what it is- funny. This whole show was based around that concept.
