Congradulations to those getting their stars especially the late great Phil Hartman. He is gone but not forgotten.

Cool

I can't understand why someone in their 20's (Kaley Cuoco) is getting a star. I thought this was an honor reserved for those nearing the end of their careers. I know it used to be.

Agreed. I think people that have done a lot in their careers and have been in well know shows or movies deserve stars the most. I hope they don't give a star to those reality TV so called "stars"

A lot of the more questionable suggestions are due to the fact part of the application process requires a $25,000 sponsorship fee. Not suprisingly a lot of movie and TV studios put up the money. A lot of star-worthy people, from Clint Eastwood to John Denver, don't have stars because no one wanted to put up the free or wouldn't meet other application demands.

if someone like Clint Eastwood doesn't have a star it renders their entire system completely pointless.

they should have a minimum 20 year career requirement, and those $25,000 fees should go towards giving deserving celebrities from the classic era their stars BEFORE any of these star-of-the moment types get their stars.

Not to criticize Kaley Cuoco, but why is Kaley Cuoco already getting a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame?

I agree and I think the word "star" in general has really lost all meaning anyhow, almost anyone can be and is called a star now.
