a long forgotten ending

I remember (I was VERY YOUNG at the time) that when the latter "Flinstones" were ending and they were showing the credits it was of Pebbles and BamBam singing thier song from they song they sang in Fred's nightmere. I was just wondering if anyone ever saw it and if they remember it

Ah yes.
That "alternative" ending often aired after that episode when Pebbles and Bamm-Bamm became singing sensations in Fred's dream was shown.

And what was the name of that song???

The song was called (I think) "Let the Sunshine In", not to be confused with song by the Fifth Dimension.

I loved that Fifth Dimension song. That song is on the Forrest Gump soundtrack. Aquarius rocks too.

I love both of them...the P&BB one was written in 1954 and thus comes first, written by singer-songwriter Stuart Hamblin..and that scene at the theatre with the first Flintstone theme playing and the babies singing that song in an edited version played over about a dozen-read, half-of the final season episodes, and it all started with the first of that season;'s episodes, though the ending itself isn't on that one. The song is on Rhino Pic-a-Basket/Flintstone Modern Stone Age Melodies,1997. The music was pretty mixed, as Hoyt Curtin had left for "LINUS THE LIONHEARTED" (Ed Graham/General Foods cereals,1964-69) though HB kept the rights to his scores but had Ted Nichols come in, and some music was written I BELIEVE for this and about half of it stayed in there while other Nichols cues became standard throughout (as did others Nichols and just before Curtin wrote). This would continue with "Alice in Wonderland"(the 1966 TV special),"The Man called Flinstone", Secret Squirrell, Sinbad Jr., etc. Even many of the early Curtin cues written since at least 1961 or earlier turn up when Eppy Brianstone (the Brian "I managed the Beatles till I died in '67" Epstein spoof guy) and the girls chase the guys and babies. And that cue "for turning wrong way into One-Whoops, we mean, O-NEE way, tunnel, to" is the old Curtin frantic running cue, even used to close a 1961-62 Yogi Bear when he "borrows" a kiddie choochoo train" and at the end of the 1964-65 season's "Dr.Sinister". After Fred's dream's over, when he opens up to Wilma about what a scary dream that was, the VERY SAME sad early original stock music written by Curtin for an early Flinstones episodes when the "Bugs Bunny Show"like theme was still used that, after different background arrangements for happier moods, with lyrics by Bill Hanna and Joe Barbera, became in 1962 (starting with the "Invisible Barney" episode with that goofy Howard MacNear/"Floyd the Barber" doc who'd made his final appearance in this third season one), right before Pebbles's 1963 debut, THE "FLINSTONES" theme-you know, the "modern stone-age one".

That's the theme, in a sad arrangement used in the first episodes, heard in "No Biz like Showbiz" when Fred's talking to Wilma, before Wilma plays the VERY SAME SONG Pebbles and Bamm-Bamm sang! It was the original Flintstone theme, and here in an episode that had a lot of new, in some cases unqiue background music by Tedd Nichols.

And that tunnel scene before Fred wakes up has some pretty odd animation, bheing a dream.

But that's a handful of pretty well known facts about this final season premiere.
