Default Do you think Eunice and Ed made off-screen visits in the syndicated episodes?

I just wonder do you think Eunice and Ed visited in the syndicated episodes off-screen?

I'm just wondering if Bubba got to ever even SEE his parents or do you think he hadn't seen them since he was sent to Juvanile Hall?

The way he talked in the episode Pomp and Circumstance, he kinda implies BOTH.

He says, "I wonder if they've changed any?" That would imply he prolly hasn't seen them since he was sent to Juvanile Hall.

But then he warns Mama not to pick a fight with Eunice and says, "Just once I wish they could visit without you getting mom all upset!" That sounds like they came to visit a few times.

I guess I'd always missed the first quote you mentioned. From the second, I figured they had at least returned for Christmas. But from the phone call with "Eunice" (not the real one!) in that episode, it sounded like Ed and Eunice didn't a pot to pee in.

Yes Bubba says, "I wonder if they've changed any?"

And Mama says, "Probably not enough"

But in the episode where they get back from a wedding and they all day dream about married life, it makes me wonder if Eunice was at that wedding, b/c when they get back home, Vint mentiones to Mama's night school teacher something like, "So you finally got to meet the ENTIRE Harper clan!" That would include Eunice.

Unfortunately, I never took it that way. I thought Vint meant the entire clan as depicted in the syndicated episodes. I figured Ellen was included only because she was still local, but not Buzz, Sonya, Eunice or Ed.
