Default No clocks in public now?

Do ppl notice in public, CLOCKS are dissapearing? I used to work at a theater and when ever I would eat I would always keep up with the clock, but I noticed more and more the clocks would be gone and now just about every place in town that there used to be a clock, there is just an empty space with a slightly faded circle where the clock was.... Is this some kind of Vegas money making tactic not to have any clocks. I heard there are hardly any clocks in Vegas in hopes of ppl losing track of the time and spending more money, so I'm wondering of other places are using that?

That's the first sign that we are running out of time. Best do what you gotta do now.

I'm assuming it's because just about everyone carries the time around on their cell phone now and big communal clocks aren't really neccessary...

My town still has a big clock down in the center square. It rings every hour too. I love small towns.

It's the same thing with the "payphone" thread. What does it harm to leave the clocks up?

I dread living in a world where nothing exists apart from one big cell phone we are all plugged into, I think it will be a sad world.

I haven't really seen that many clocks being taken down, personally.

Didn't just about everyone carry time around on their wrists before cell phones were the norm?

Our malls are also disappearing and at one time we had the biggest one in the world. Some fool is investing to bring it back. The only clocks I see are at the banks.
