I was just reading these stories on the unsolved mysteries page.
Arthur's sister was looking for him. Apparently with Arthurs parents divorce he and his to older sisters were giving up to a childrens home. Their mother came and got the two girls. And Arthur ended up with the father traveling the circus. The girls were reunited with Curly there circus clown father, but was not been able to find Arthur. Curly said he left Arthur at a boys home , thought it was better for him. And only got two letters from him after he was adopted out. You think someone would recognize Arthur's picture, even if Arthur did not want to meet his family. Irene Love was looking for her child hood friend Deloris and real life sister and her parents who Deloris went to live with after her adopted parents died. Apparently ther girls grew up together not knowing they were sisters. You think someone would recognize Deloris's picture or the names of her parents, exspecailly given she knew were her parents once lived and worked. Sounds like more then enough info to solve the case. Both cases should be solvable cases to me? What do you guys think? |

It seems to me that the Irene/Delores Lost Loves story would be fairly easy to solve nowadays.
The adopted sisters lived near each other and were best friends. Their biological parents were together and saw the girls weekly at the restaurant where they both worked. Everyone knows the names, ages, locations, etc, of the people involved. With things like Ancestory and facebook available online, you'd think that all this information would spark someone's memory and they would be able to find a way to contact each other. The girls' parents (bio and adoptive) have probably all passed on by now, and if they are still living, Irene and Delores would be about 70 years old. They likely have children and grandchildren. After Delores's mother died, her father took her to live with the girls' bio parents. At that point Delores must have also known she was adopted. I wonder if their parents had any more children. There must be relatives who at least know parts of their family's story. I also suppose it's possible that they were reunited but no one ever made it public. |
