I have OnDemand as far as Xfinity/Comcast and I have to tell you for somebody who doesnt watch a lot of today's shows, it kind of stinks. I mean anything that is free, like the free movies, most of them are not classics, by any means.
Even if you subscribe to WWE Classics on Demand or have NFL Network, MLB Network, HBO etc., to me, it seems like the programming that they offer isnt that appealing. On my blog, I have some ideas as to how to change OnDemand. But let me ask you guys, are you happy with OnDemand and if your not, what would you change about it? Updated at 9:23pm, check out my blog on the changes I would make. http://superbowlgreatness.blogspot.c...ogramming.html |

On Demand is more geared towards current TV than classic TV. It probably has to be this way because of licensing issues and whatnot.

I don't see a lot of Classics on OnDemand but my guess is that they must cost a lot to get the rights to.

OnDemand used to have a classic channel. I used to watch One Day at a Time, Starsky & Hutch and some other shows on it. They had it for a few years. They should bring it back. Otherwise I don't have much problem with it. TCM has a better video library than they used to and there seems to be a wide variety of movies. I never watched channels like ESPN, NFL Network or the sort on there anyway because they've always been pretty bad. The one I will say is that ABC, CBS and Fox should keep all their shows episodes on Demand for the whole season. they only keep the most recent. NBC has kept most of their's up...mainly Chicago Fire and that's given me a chance to catch up so I'll watch it full time next year.

As far as TV shows go,On Demand is pretty useless unless you're into more modern or current TV,so I hardly ever watch it. There is Xfinity Streampix which I guess is their way of getting into streaming, but even that has very few older/classic TV shows. If streampix had a lot more classic TV shows it would be good because they run them un-edited(I think) and commercial free.If they are going to properly get into streaming--they should do it right and show plenty of classic programs.
