Antenna TV has planned a 12 hour marathon to celebrate the life of Jean Stapleton BUT - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

it's on a TUESDAY

It airs tomorrow at 3pm tomorrow until 3am but why on a Tuesday Night when people have to go to work and school? Why is it about this channel that they can't air things like this on a saturday or sunday??

It wouldn't make sense to air it a week later on a Saturday would it?

Why not? They can say "This Saturday this will be a marathon" celebrating the life of Jean Stapleton.

Or Even Friday Night.

I wonder if they'll show the Edith is almost raped episode.? Jean was great in that one.

I really hope they dont show it. Even though Jean was great in the episode, I want to more or less honor the comedic side of her because I think thats what made her an icon. All the comedic stuff and how she played off of Archie.

Yes that is a good point. AITF is known for serious episodes and i hope it's some of the less serious episodes

I hope they show a lot of her comedic ones too but I'd still like to see it. I've only seen it 2 times and once was when it originally aired.

I have to agree with You! I don't understand why the Marathon is in the middle of the week either. Saturday would much better. People's are working in the weekdays.

I've been watching the episodes and they've all been pretty good. Such a great actress and such a classic show.
