"Welcome Back Kotter XXX" Set for Sept. 2013
DreamZone Announces Sept. Release for Welcome Back Kotter XXX
6/3/13 DreamZone Entertainment has announced a September release date for its newest blockbuster feature-length parody, Welcome Back Kotter XXX: A DreamZone Parody. The porn satire of the 70’s television sitcom stars Anthony Rosano as Gabe Kotter, and Allie Haze, Eva Angelina, Mia Gold, and Scarlet Banks as the distractions that keep Mr. Kotter busy trying to keep his students, known as the ‘Sweat Hogs,’ focused on school. The original sitcom ran from 1975 - 1979 and quickly became a cult classic. Catchphrases from the show became so popular that a game was even made with the catchphrase, “Up your nose with a rubber hose” as the game title. Along with the game, an entire line of memorabilia was created, including dolls, lunch boxes and comic books. Although the sitcom never won any awards, the popularity of the show has brought it back as reruns on late night TV. In the new DreamZone version of Welcome Back Kotter XXX, Anthony Rosano plays the title role of Mr. Kotter, a teacher in 1975 Brooklyn. His students, known as the ‘Sweat Hogs’and played by Tommy Pistol, Jon Jon, Seth Gamble, and Ryan McClane would rather be looking for fun than studying. Fun for them comes in the form of Allie Haze, Eva Angelina, Mia Gold and Scarlet Banks. With a cast like that, Mr. Kotter has his work cut out for him. Director Jordan Septo stated: “I enjoyed shooting this parody, as Welcome Back Kotter was one of my favorite shows growing up. The entire cast did a fabulous job of emulating their mainstream counterparts. Anyone who is a fan of the original will appreciate the cast’s chemistry, which was such an important factor in the original. For anyone that didn't see the original, they can still enjoy the humor and the off-the-wall sex.” Adam Hasner, VP of DreamZone Entertainment, stated: “This adaption of the classic TV sitcom, Welcome Back Kotter XXX is one of the funniest parodies we have made to date. Jordan Septo has once again put together a stellar cast and has painstakingly followed the original to give fans of the original, as well as those who have never seen the original, a title that will have them in stitches. The chemistry between the cast was evident, so fans will not be disappointed by the sex scenes. The box art has been up on our web page for some time now and we have already received a good amount of feedback. We know that the fans have been waiting patiently for this announcement, and we are excited to begin our promotional campaign that will include magazine coverage, social media coverage, and a poster with The Karate Kid XXX on one side and Welcome Back Kotter XXX on the other.” Welcome Back Kotter XXX: A DreamZone Parody is a two-disc deluxe “collector’s edition” that will also include SFW-friendly versions of some of DreamZone’s classic parody adaptions, as well as Bonus Scenes, Trailers and Photo Galleries. http://business.avn.com/company-news...XX-519327.html |

i still don't understand how they can call these things parodies - they aren't poking fun at the classic sitcoms and shows, they are just stealing their settings and premises and names.
for example when Mad magazine or any comedy skit show parodies shows or movies they at least change the names, or make some effort to provide some sort of comedic exaggeration or poke fun at different aspects of the original. - and just because you have terrible actors doesn't make it a parody. |

- and if they did actually have better sales because of the premise, then shouldn't they rightfully then have to pay royalties to the original artwork, because they are basically benefiting from the work of others without remuneration? |

This whole thing started when The Brady Bunch XXX came out a few years ago during the whole "lesbian feud". It sold so well that they made a sequel and spin-offs based on it and then it went into other shows. Then they got more popular when the stars of the shows they were doing X-rated versions of starting mentioning them on talk shows. Some porn fans like to see "more than just sex" and what not go into the movies, so these appeal to that market. |
