Default What's your favorite "Keeping Up Appearances" episode?

Mine is "Sea Fever." Hyacinth and Richard go on a cruise and see Daisy and Onslow. Hyacinth thinks they're stowaways.

Early in the episode Hyacinth got angry at Richard and called him "Richard BUCKET!" I think that's the only time she ever called him that.

I never knew that episode existed until I got the DVDs. It instantly became my favorite, and I never get tired of watching it.

I love "Country Retreat" when Hyacinth wants to rent a place in the country. Her grand ideas always fall through.

Tap Dancer-I think that's my favorite too! I thought it was so awesome Hyacinth and Onslo were dancing together at the end. And yes! When the car gets stuck in the mud and she drops all appearances and goes off on him and calls him Bucket! Great episode!

Mine would be "Hyacinth Tees Off", when she forces Richard to go play golf with the Major at the resort, where Rose just happens to be staying with her latest paramour. When the Major backs off from playing golf with Richard, he insists on taking Hyacinth on a country drive in his roadster, where he can't keep his hands off of her! The scene where Hyacinth jumps over a fence and scares the sheep grazing in the field as she runs away is priceless!!!

Any ( I think there are a couple) where Richard gets away and has too much to drink. The guy deserves it!

But I must say, the one titled "Tap Dancer" would probably be very funny. I'll keep an eye out for that one!

The cruise episode for sure!

I also really like the episode with the first Rose where she tries to give away her "undies" to the Charity Shop and Hyacinth sees them before Mrs. Counselor-Nugent notices them. The funniest scene is when Hyacinth disguises her voice so that Mrs. Nugent doesn't see her at Daisy's house --- "I am a foreigner in your country." Brilliant comedy and writing.

Ooops! My bad! When I saw the words Tap Dancer and the description of Hyacinth and Onslo dancing together, I thought that was the title.

I guess the title of the episode was actually "Sea Fever".

Sorry for the confusion.

My favorite is the one where they buy the tiny holiday flat in the country. The place is so tiny, but Hyacinth insists on showing it off. Richard gets his head stuck in the ceiling at one point during a visit.

I thought it was Emmett who got his head stuck ... and thank you for the welcome.

I couldn't say which episode is my favorite, so many of them are so good.

"The Charity Shop" and "Hyacinth is Alarmed" are my two favorites.

Any episode with Mrs. Counciller-Nugent is a plus (Charity Shop being one of them).
