Burger King Employee Foils Robbery by Stealing Thieves’ Getaway Car

A fast food employee is being lauded by police for his fast thinking after foiling a robbery at a Burger King in Stockton, Calif.

As two hamburlgars stormed the restaurant brandishing guns and demanding cash, an employee snuck out a back door, according to KOVR-TV in Sacramento.

The employee found the thieves’ idling getaway vehicle in the parking lot, hopped in and drove off, stashing the car around the block.

“I haven’t heard of any employee actually leaving a business, getting inside the suspect vehicle and trying to hide it,” Stockton officer Joe Silva told reporters.

When the thieves realized their car had been taken, then took off on foot and hid in a nearby field.

Police soon found the two suspects, Gabriel Gonzalez and Jeremy Lovitt, and arrested them. They’ve been charged with armed robbery.

that, he would probably have been fired.

When they saw that car was gone, I'd be scared they'd get inraged, go crazy, come back in and start shooting the place up.

I would not reccomend anyone ever playing hero, just let the robbers get what they want and be OUT of there.

My grandma used to work in a bank and that was part of her training, if they ever get robbed, just comply and get them on their way as fast as possible, don't do anything to irk them.

The point is that it did not end up happening that way and everything
ended up turning out alright. The Police view him as a hero, so you should, too.

how did he KNOW that it was the robber's car - just because it was running?

i say he got lucky - he basically just stole a car, and got away with it.

I watch a 90s movie the other day called, Hero. Dustin Hoffman played a man down on his luck who saved a bunch of people from a burning plane, mainly a reporter played by Geena Davis. Through a series of events, Andy Garcia's character is mistaken for the rescuer. Everyone goes crazy, calling him a hero. Cute little romantic comedy. Maybe that's sort of what happened here, lol.

It wasn't you that I didn't like, it was your posting style. I wasn't alone, as there were complaints about you and your attitude toward religion. "I can imagine why". Let me guess, I'm a raging homophobe. Isn't that the way it works when someone doesn't love you, that means they hate gays. Don't like Obama's policies, that makes one a racist.
