I can not Imagine, in Borrowed Boat, Just because Wally came down and got Beaver at the police station, that the police would call and ask for Wally, to tell him they got the guys that stole the boat, and that they were sorry,
Instead of just asking for the parents and explaining it to the parents.
I know, it was part of the story, but not believable.

I agree with Mickey - and they had to come up with some way for Ward and June to find out what had happened. Think of how lame it would have been if Ward found out because he knew the Officer.
