Default I'm confident this is a bad EDIT by Antenna TV for episode "Speak No Evil"

Arnold wanted to throw fruit at a racist group and Mr. Drummond told him no to do it because they have a right to speak. The Arnold told....."I don't have to listen to you, you are not my real dad anyway" and then the commercial comes on

But the episode ends and Arnold never ever..................Apologized to Mr. Drummond. He had to apologize on NBC

Nope we have to wait until the DVD comes out. The NBC eps of DS I do have are before the Sam and Maggie era

That's something Willis would say during his bratty periods. I'm in shock that Arnold would say such a thing. Poor Mr. D.

I hate to break it to you but I WAS USING a VCR in late 1986!!! Whenever I'd stay home from school, I would record weekday morning reruns of Webster on ABC at 11:30am on WWSB Channel 40. I recorded two season one eps that ran during that time slot.

The only thing I could think of is to go on youtube and maybe somebody posted the episode there.

That statement seemed so out of place at that point of the series because they had lived together so long at that point.

Poor Mr. D had to have been devastated when Arnold said that.

I just saw this episode a week or so ago. And you're right -- Arnold (awkwardly) says it, and he never has to apologize for it.

It's just a terribly written episode. Drummond came on way too strong with Arnold when he ordered him not to throw fruit. Arnold was young and emotional, and for a very good, sensitive reason. He needed Drummond to agree with his anger at the racists, understand why Arnold wanted to lash out them, and then calmly explain the 1st Amendment. But instead he just goes all, "YOU WILL NOT THROW FRUIT ARNOLD!!!" and....we have an episode!

I have this episode and all of them uncut and there is definitely not an apology, though Arnold calls him Dad and admits that Mr D is right in the last scene. That's the closet they get to an apology.

Where would you get all episodes uncut? And, btw, DS is airing on Encore Black, which is showing the whole series in UNEDITED format!
