Default Which will happen first you think? Complete series on DVD or Show back on TV???

I like the pace of the DVD releases so far and hopefully season 4 can be released this year too. And far as the show being in syndication I hope it can find it's way on Antenna TV somehow in the next year or so since it will probably be 4 years before the show is completed on DVD.

But it will be interesting to see if Antenna TV picks up the show in the next 2 or 3 years.

I too am anxiously awaiting the release of season 4 Alice. I haven't seen these episodes in decades, so it's a real treat. If it does ever go to Antenna TV, I won't watch it because there will probably be a bunch of editing stuff.

Antenna TV is better than a Incomplete series on DVD

Sadly they don't ever seem to put old shows like this back on TV anymore, I can't remember the last time a show like this was resturned to TV.

Really the only older shows like this that you see on TV nowdays are the ones that have been one since their original run like The Andy Griffith Show and I Love Lucy.

Nowdays they only take things away.

Warner Bros. has so many shows that have been hiding away for years now that they should dust them off and strike a deal with some cable network since they don't seem intent on releasing them on DVD for the most part: Alice, It's a Living, Mama's Family, The Hogan Family, Murphy Brown, Perfect Strangers, Head of the Class etc.

It sucks when great shows from the 80's are not complete on DVD or seen on cable or local syndication

I agree! Warner is very hesitant to work with these new digital channels that are popping up including Antenna TV and Me TV. They are more likely to work with actual cable channels or release their programs on DVD through their Warner Archive.

I wish they would branch out.

Warner just completed the DVD releases of Night Court (9 seasons). I hope this is a good sign they'll do the same for Alice.

That's when I plan to buy the show, once it's complete on DVD

No more individual seasons

I hope so too because I want them all so I can toss my old VHS tapes. At least I hope they get to Season 6 because that had some of my favorites. Seasons 7-9 are when the show started to slide and I wasn't watching faithfully anymore. Many people are stating they won't buy the post-Flo seasons so I hope sales don't plummet enough for WA to stop releasing.

It would be great if they would release the spin-off series Flo The Complete Series, to coincide with the 5th season of Alice.

Ok, yeah I know I'm fantasizing, but since Alice is being released through the MOD, maybe there's a slim chance Flo will get a MOD release too, someday, of course!

I still haven't seen a short-lived spinoff from a popular parent show released yet

A rep from Warner Archive HAS stated that FLO will likely be released but not until her character exits ALICE--so after Season 4 of ALICE they will bring out FLO. I just hope they release it as a complete series.
