Does anyone know where the original Beatles cartoons are? They haven't been on tv in years! Wish Cartoon Network ,Vh1 or TV Land would show them! Maybe you something about this AKA?

I don't think the show's aired in my lifetime. I know of it, but I've never seen it. I think whether or not the show airs is in the discretion of Paul, Ringo, and the Lennon and Harrison estates, and I'm pretty sure they'd prefer it be forgotten.
While I'd really like to see it, it does sound pretty cheesy. Much like the "Yellow Submarine" movie, The Beatles didn't do their own voices. |

As for the cartoon, I don't think it's been shown in Britain recently either. Maybe it'll be released on DVD. I'm sure that, as it's the Beatles, a lot of people would wanna see it. Maybe you should start a petition. |

I don't think all the petitions in the world can bring the cartoon back. In the '60s, they were able to make it without consulting The Beatles. Almost forty years and numerous lawsuits later, the two remaining Beatles and the two widows have control over everything Beatles and they make available only what they want to be available. That's why the cartoon, the "Let It Be" film, the "Beatles At The Hollywood Bowl" album, and the (abysmal) original American catalog of albums haven't been available for years. |

Yes the cartoons were a little silly but the songs in them were great! As for Yellow Submarine, it was a little "out there" but the songs were great in that too!

I love the 1999 reissue of Yellow Submarine with the remixed Dolby 5.1 sound. The remixed Yellow Submarine Songtrack CD is awesome, too.
I can't wait until the 2001 print of A Hard Day's Night comes to DVD! |
