Did Different Strokes take a page out of Happy Days? - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

I say that because look at this 8th season. It looks like the apartment has changed as well as the theme music. Remember when Arnold's burned down and replaced with the New Arnold's? Samething with Different Strokes. The apartment was different and the theme song was different.

Also, what happened to Maggie? Why was Dixie Carter replaced?

I think a big reason for the canges in the set is that the show moved from NBC to ABC.

I've read that Dixie Carter and Gary Coleman didn't get along very well.

Dixie Carter left because she had a role on the new tv show called "Crazy like a fox"
