I Don't know if this question has been asked before, but if it has? Please forgive me. Now I know the DVD sets of GI have been around awhile, but was GI among the first TV shows on DVD? I can't remember if it was or not.

No, not really. A lot of sets started coming around 2001 (Simpsons, Sex and the City, Twilight Zone). I believe the first season came out in 2004. Hard to believe it was that long ago though!

The first tv show I ever bought on DVD was the old 1960's espionage show, I Spy (my favorite tv program ever made) in 2001. They didn't release it by season, they just released 1 disc at a time, each with 4 episodes. The disks came out about 3-5 weeks apart. It was a frustrating wait between disk releases. Were other early tv show released in a similar method?
