Above is a 1981 article about the show but it gets several details wrong including calling Susan Sullivan "Anne Sullivan" as well as the fact that Louise's character Maggie is the "den mother" to the younger waitresses. If anything, the other girls had to look out for Maggie since she was such a daffy, inexperienced widow in the working world for the first time.

According to Marc Sotkin who joined the producing and writing crew in season three, he says according to other that she was a pain to work with. Oh, well.
