The AMC smash began production on Season 4 this week in Atlanta, and, to mark the occasion, the network released the following image from the premiere.

What exactly is going on here? Is Daryl robbing a zombie convenience store? Doing his best Jesse James impersonation? Hiding the fact he is running low on razors and hasn’t shaved since Merle died?

One can only hypothesize, but the thing I do know is that the lady fans of Norman Reedus (of which there are many) won’t be too happy if the actor’s face is covered for an extended period of time. Then again, maybe this just makes him look even more badass, which we pretty much assumed was impossible until we saw this photo.

What say you: Are you pro or con when it comes to a masked Daryl Dixon?
