Last week my wife and I took a trip to Austin TX and thanks to the UM segment which uses so many of the street names we were able to swing by the carwash and house filmed in the segment. I have some pics but Im not sure how to upload them.

Did you take the pics with your cell phone or a camera?
I know there are some folks on here who are much more tech savvy than I am, but if you used a digital camera, it should have an SD card inside that records the pics. You can take it out and put it into a special slot on your computer. As the computer reads the card, a box should pop up that asks where you want to store the pics. You can create a folder on your desktop to store them for quick access, or put them in another location. One of us should be able to walk you through storing them to your computer and uploading them from the computer to the forum. If you used your phone to take the pics, it also probably has some kind of data storage card that may or may not be compatible with your computer. You can also email the pics from your phone to your email account, open your email on your computer, and save the pics from the email to the computer, then upload to the forum using the same method as with the camera. |

I found the car wash and the surrounding streets on Google Maps a few years ago. You could just upload your pics to photobucket like I do.

And I just remembered... Sometimes cameras (and even phones) come with wires that allow you to connect the device straight to a port in your computer without having to transfer memory cards, then you upload the images the same way.

No problem. I have a couple more but thse are the best. It looks like the porch on the front of the house has been changed since they filmed the segment otherwise everything pretty much looks the same. |

OT: I love the Top Notch t-shirt. I miss Austin like crazy.
I remember driving past that car wash and also pretty sure I've driven past a motel in Belton that McDuff used to frequent (I think they showed it on one of the A&E shows about McDuff). I had to stay in Belton once when my car broke down on I-35. A local dropped me off at a decent hotel, but we drove past the seedy motel on the interstate before we got there and the local said, "Oh, you don't wanna stay there. That's a dive." And all I could think was "KENNETH MCDUFF stayed there!" |
