Yeah, I just saw that listing on the site! YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Family Ties Season 7 is already being planned for DVD. I really hope this gets released before the end of the year so I can finally have this entire series on DVD! I've been really enjoying watching the 6th. season now on DVD and it will be great to get the 7th. season and watch the entire series on DVD.
Hopefully Paramount will go all out and get some great extras on this release- namely "The Art of Being Nick" pilot, the episode of "Day By Day" that Steven and Andy appeared on and the 1988 PBS special "Inside Family Ties: Behind The Scenes of a Hit".

I would also like to see 1988 PBS special "Inside Family Ties: Behind The Scenes of a Hit.

Even though I've seen it, I would like to see the final curtain call included as an extra on the Season 7 dvd.

On DVD for the first time ever! The final season of the classic American sitcom chronicling the everyday lives of the Keaton family as they raise their children in the Ronald Reagan era 1980s. Includes all 24 episodes from the Seventh and FINAL season. All the cast members you know and love! Michael J. Fox, Michael Gross, Meredith Baxter Birney, Tina Yothers, Justine Bateman, and Brian Bonsall.

Fan-favorite recurring guest stars Marc Price as Skippy and Scott Valentine as Nick. Additional guest stars: Courtney Cox ("Friends," "Cougar Town"), Hank Azaria ("The Simpsons," The Smurfs), Stephen Baldwin (The Usual Suspects), Philip Baker Hall (Magnolia, Argo), Maura Tierney ("ER," Liar Liar), and Dan Hedaya (Clueless).
Last Tuesday we told you to expect Family Ties - The 7th and Final Season on DVD in the not-too-distant future...but we didn't have an exact street date for you at the time. Now CBS/Paramount has officially announced the title, scheduling it for release on August 13th. Cost is $45.98 SRP, and you can pre-order it from Amazon right away using the button link below. Here also is a first look at the cover art for this 4-disc set; check it out:

I wonder if it's a drawing? I know that there is an actual picture of the cast like that. The cover art just looks a little different.

At least CBS/Paramount didn't forget the season number this time, like they usually do for their "Final Season" DVDs.

YAY!!!! I LOVE the cover art for the Season 7 DVD and I'm so excited to see it getting released so soon! It will be great to finally have all of "Family Ties" on DVD. I hope it includes the extras that have been mentioned as well.
And the cover art is a neat touch- it's very reminiscent of the painting that was done in the theme song for Seasons 3-4.

The final scene of the "Ties" finale always brings a bit of a lump to the throat.A warm, caring and loving family unit bidding farewell to its beloved republican component.Though I didn't really care too much for most of the other last season episodes, they did go out with alot of class.Fox will be returning to network tv in September.

In my opinion, it is terrible and does not match with the other cover arts

The logo and the banner are much the same- the only difference here is how the picture is portrayed.
Sorry you don't like it though. As I mentioned earlier, I think it's meant to tie in to a classic opening theme song montage for the show where the main cast members were seen as drawings rather than in pictures (as they are later seen in other season opening themes). For that reason, I like it particularly- as that was one of my favorite opening themes for the show. But it's all good.

Great news! I am worried about the series finale though since on amazon and itunes it's broken up into two parts and they're both about 1:30 shorter than the other episodes. I doubt we'll get the curtain call scene.
