Lost Dutchman's Mine

As you may recall, this was one of a handful of treasure segments on UM. And while treasure is still a huge part of the what the area is known for, lately, mysterious deaths have also brought attention to it.

Disappeared did an episode on Jesse Capen, a 35 year old resident of Denver who saved up a month's vacation from work to look for the treausre, as he was obsessed with it. His disappearance was not immediately known because he had planned to be there for a month, and he did not own a cell phone. Interestingly, he is believed to have died very early into his trip, perhaps the first day or so. His body was later found in a crevasse.

The following year, in 2010, 3 people were found deceased, presumably having died from the elements.
