(The Chicago Bulls won the Eastern Conference Quarterfinals, 4 games to 3, by beating the Brooklyn Nets 99-93.)

(Ralph & Ed just watched the game in the Kramden apartment.)

Ralph: "I can't believe this Norton. The Nets came within mere points of advancing. They were a mere game away from playing a series down there near that fun and sun capital of the world, Miami Beach."

(Audience cheers.)

Ed: "We all thought that the Knicks were going to play the Heat in the next round. We were wrong."

Ralph: "We? It was YOU. You looked at the standings incorrectly Norton.
I am a perfect reader. When I was in plays, I read my script one time and rarely rehearsed. I am a regular Jackie Gleason."

(Audience cheers.)

Ed: "Yeah, you are even built like him."

(Audience laughs very loudly.)

Ralph: "Oh, you must want me to beat you up Norton. Well, we may have missed out on an Knicks/Nets third round. Good thing is we still have the Knicks."

Ed (accidentally getting Ralph more upset): "Yes, even though the Nets lost to a team that is known for being horrible and is know for having nicknames such as 'nincompoops of the hoops' and 'the Chicago Horribulls' we still have the Knicks Ralph."

Ralph (pointing to the door): "You know what this means Norton? You know what this means?"

Ed: "Yes, I do."

(He leaves.)

(Jackie Gleason walks on stage. Audience applauds.)

Jackie: "How sweet it is."

(Audience cheers.)

Jackie: "Like I said, the Miami Beach audiences are the BEST! GOOD NIGHT!"

(Audience cheers.)
