I always found it odd that their front door was almost never locked, even at night or when they went out. It would be the least they should do considering by their own admission they lived in a rough neighborhood in Watts.

I guess they took a risk plus the sanfords home was so junky fred and lamont must have thought the robbers would hurt themselves in their house at dark with all that stuff laying around lol
