Mario Machado, the very first Chinese-American on-air television news reporter in Los Angeles, has passed away. Considering how well known he was in So. California, there doesn't seem to be much info on his death. I happened to find out from an acquaintance on Facebook who knew Mr. Machado through a friend and posted he had died. Mr. Machado appeared on the Brady Bunch as Jerry Bridges, the interviewer:

If it's posted on Wikipedia before a reliable news source then I would have doubts. It's not on the SSDI website yet but that doesn't mean it's not true.

I got my info from someone I know on FB who happens to know Mr. Machado. He just messaged me with more details about his death, but asked me to not post the info anywhere about those details other than his passing because the family says Mr. Machado wanted privacy.
