You may remember the Egglestons from the segment about After Death Visits. They were the family whose car had fallen into the river. Patti, who was interviewed in the segment, said that her husband John visited her after her death several times during the following year to help her cope. She had also stated that John had helped her rescue her 2 young sons.
Well the other day, I happened to come across a similarly titled program called "Unexplained Mysteries" and the lady being interviewed looked familiar to me. It was Patti Eggleston! This was airing on ChillerTV, although I think this program has aired on other networks in the past, such as Bravo. In any event, there were several other details to this event not covered in the UM segment: -Once the car fell into the river, the car began filling up with water rapidly. Patti had broken her back in 3 places as well as her ankles, yet said she didn't feel any pain until after the ordeal. -Patti got out of the car and found one of her sons bobbing on the river and pulled him to the banks. She saw John sitting a short distance away surveying the situation and was mad at him for not helping -- not realizing at that moment he was dead and she was seeing his ghost. -Her other son was initially thought to have been dead, the good Samaritan performed CPR on him and brought him back to life. The son would later state that he had images of Heaven during the ordeal. -Black ice was the culprit. |

Amazing. I saw this episode on the Farina version the other day and it flooded alot of memories from the original episode. I hope Patti has been alright since Unsolved Mysteries interviewed her. Wonder if she still sees him?

I think the visits stopped after about a year or so after the initial shock and grieving period wore off.
I should also add that Dr. Melvin Morse, who appeared in the UM segment, also appeared in the Unexplained Mysteries segment. Actually, he's been in a couple of UM segments. He's written the book -- literally on this subject, with several books on after death visits and the like. |
